Work with Regional Marketing Director and practice group leaders and office managing partners in the Northern Virginia and Baltimore offices to develop and implement group/office marketing goals, objectives and strategies.
Oversee individual group/office strategic plans and budgets.
Manage client teams associated with the Aerospace, Defense, and
Government Services industry group
Create and edit responses to RFPs, customized pitches, and business development presentations.
Creation and regular update of all web and print marketing collateral, including brochures, practice group descriptions, biographies, news items and articles authored by practice attorneys.
Conduct research on existing and prospective clients, competitor activity, and industry or market trends to aid in the development of marketing plans, presentations, and proposals.
Identify cross-selling opportunities with existing clients and
work with other colleagues to facilitate multidisciplinary cooperation on client development matters.
Liaise with the firm's communications team on public relations, media relations and communications activities relevant to the practice area or office.
Work with the recruiting department to integrate lateral partners and counsel. Assist attorneys in developing personal business development plans.
Assist in the development and production of internal materials and client communications.
Manage all aspects of area seminars and other marketing-oriented events.
Read industry publications to remain aware of trends that may impact the firm's practice and to identify opportunities for promoting the practice, communicating same to the partners.
Provide support to practice group members on other strategic business development and promotional initiatives as needed.
In coordination with the communications team, evaluate sponsorships and opportunities to participate in various directories. Negotiate agreements and manage participation in sponsorships and directories in order to ensure that the firm receives the maximum return on its investment.
Work with practice group leaders and office managing partners to plan practice meetings and retreats, and advise practice leaders regarding steps needed to achieve group goals.

Qualifications:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Strong organizational skills and an ability to prioritize and complete simultaneous projects with minimal supervision
Project and team management experience
Experience working independently as well as within cross-functional teams in a collaborative, professional environment
Demonstrated written and oral communication skills
Ability to communicate effectively with attorneys, professional level staff, and peers
Flexibility to evolve with the position as required
An ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Access, and Interaction a plus)
Excellent research skills, including Internet research experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
7+ years marketing experience in a professional services firm required
B.A. in Marketing, Communications, English or similar preferred
OFFICE HOURS (includes lunch hour):
Core hours 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. M-F with additional hours as needed
