Description: Attorney General is looking of Computer Forensic Examiner/ Criminal Investigator right now, this job will be situated in Virginia. Computer forensic examinations and technical investigations of computer fraud, computer trespass, identity theft, child exploitation cases, and other crimes! within Virginia's Computer Crimes Act. Conduct complex and technical criminal investigations of crimes facilitated by or involving computers. Undergo appropriate computer forensic examination training. Work extensively in conjunction with federal, state and local law enforcement as well as computer service and information service providers. Regularly required to speak to groups and interact with law enforcement, state prosecutors and technology related professionals on issues related to Internet and Computer Crimes. Investigations are statewide and often cross state and national borders. Some overnight travel required.
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum of three years law enforcement experience conducting criminal investigations, including computer crime and /or child exploitation investigations and computer forensics, is preferable. Major course work in criminal justice will be considered. Candidates must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communicatio! n skills as well as computer proficiency. Successful candidate! will be subject to criminal background check.
