We are currently recruiting for a Customer Service Legal Support Representative to join our Legal Recovery department located in Norfolk (Virginia Beach), Virginia.

Job Summary:
Performs tasks in support of the Litigations and Operations departments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:!
Include the following. Other duties may be assigned. !
Determine reason for issue with collection efforts, review account, and take appropriate action to resolve issue.
Record information into automated collection software; obtain and review appropriate correspondence and documents pertaining to account; Process payments received via either email or phone accurately.
Maintain a non-representative owned account queue, establish payment schedules and deadlines; determine interest to be charged on overdue amount; settle account within limits of settlement authority or confer with supervisor.
Manage accounts in personal queue for transfers per strategy.
Responsibilities include contacting by telephone customer employers for payroll information; contacting the local sheriff offices for updated suit information; searching websites or calling court systems for applicable legal filings.
Ability to adapt quickly to changes in work strategy.
Works well with minimal supervision.
Facilitate inquiries from th! ird party entities - such as attorney firms, debt liquidation companies, or Consumer Credit Counseling. Demonstrated ability to closely follow prescribed protocols and compliance measures.
Jobs Requirements
Minimum Requirements
1-2 years of customer service-related interaction.
Excellent writing and communication skills
Familiarity with Microsoft Windows and Office software, internet
Must complete and pass company administered Fair Debt Collection Practices Act training and testing
Must have effective organizational, communication, time-management and interpersonal skills and high attention to detail
Must be able to work independently
Must be able to handle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines
Able to research, read, analyze, and interpret legal documents: technical procedures, or governmental regulations; effectively present information and respond to questions from management, clients, and customers Excited about this opportunity? Apply now!
