Performs all aspects of processing, preservation and storage of tissues in a FDA regulated environment. Works in a strong team en! vironment under aseptic conditions while performing controlled production processes. Performs quality assessments of tissue products and documentation. Enters production records ensuring all product information and processing data is accurate. Performs accurate and timely production reviews to ensure work was performed to set standards. Reviews and applies product labels. Performs quality verifications and inspection on final products. Participates in production enhancement and improvement initiatives and writing Standard Operating Procedures.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Thoroughly reviews work orders or processing instructions prior to initiating production. Works with production supervisors to adjust plans as needed.
2. Performs all aspects of processing and packaging tissue according to current procedures and protocols.
3. Accurately and thoroughly documents all processes and functions performed. Performs accurate and timely post production documentation ! reviews.
4. Performs post-processing decontamination of eq! uipment and the processing room.
5. Acts as a preceptor and mentor to new technicians as needed
6. Creates, reviews, and revises Standard Operating Procedures, best practices, and training materials.
7. Performs other duties as assigned or requested.
8. Complies with LifeNet Health’s Quality Systems and Corporate Compliance programs.
9. Adheres to the LifeNet Health’s attendance policies through regular and prompt attendance.

CHALLENGES, DECISION MAKING AND RECOMMENDATIONS
Requires following clearly defined procedures. Problems are solved easily or by consulting with supervisor. Requires performing clearly outlined tasks that are closely monitored.

Independent decisions made daily regarding graft quality and process flow in team environment. Recommendations made daily regarding process improvements.

Negotiating/conflict management: Requires working with others as a team. Minimizing unne! cessary conflict or the emotional side of conflict by finding common ground. Working toward a solution that is best for everyone.

Interpersonal communication: Requires communicating well with people at different levels; frequently sharing information with others while listening to and understanding their points of view.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
1. Two-year college or vocational/technical training, job-related training.
2. Ability to perform routine tasks and demonstrate basic analytical skills.
3. Proficiency with basic and complex business machines (computers, etc.)
4. Specialized, technical skills.
5. Knowledge of moderately complex procedures and practices of a specific function.
6. 1â€"3 years of related work experience.

WORK DEMANDS AND ENVIRONMENT

Physical Demands and Abilities:
Hourly â€" Ability to withstand prolonged standing, prolonged walking, prolonged sitting, and repetitive reaching. Man! ual dexterity with hands and fingers. Ability to communicate through sp! eech and hearing. Ability to perceive attributes of objects by touch. Good eye-hand/foot coordination. Must demonstrate good visual acuity (ability to focus, judge distances, see peripherally, differentiate color, see clearly at 20 inches or less and 20 feet of more.) Must be able to lift or carry object up to 10 lbs. and push or pull objects of light weight (such as carts.)
Daily â€" Ability to withstand prolonged or repetitive carrying, repetitive pushing or pulling, and prolonged or repetitive stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Must be able to lift or carry objects of 50 lbs. or more and push or pull objects of moderate weight (such as dollies, hand trucks, etc.)

Environment:
Hourly â€" Frequent contact with water or other liquid. Exposure to sufficient noise to
cause distraction or possible hearing loss, atmospheric conditions that affect skin or
respiratory system, conditions where there is danger to life, body, or health, strai! n on body to
cause bodily harm if endured daily (vibrations).
Daily â€" Exposure to temperatures hot/cold enough to cause marked bodily discomfort and variations
in temperature from hot to cold.
