Further informations about this career opportunity please read the description below. Overall Job Objective: To provide legal representation, advice and counsel on real estate matters
Draft, negotiate and coordinate the execution and performance of legal agr! eements, including leases, purchase contracts, sales contracts and other miscellaneous legal agreements
Review and analyze information from various sources, including zoning, title and environmental, to assess and quantify risks, develop solutions and advise senior management on all aspects of leasing and real property acquisitions
May train and supervise less experienced attorneys, non-attorney departmental managers and supervisors
Provide advice and guidance to Facilities Department, Acquisitions Department and Legal - Real Estate Group associates in the performance of their duties on a day-to-day basis
Advise and counsel senior management on legal matters in his/her area of expertise
Assist the management team in applying company policies, as well as federal and state regulations, in daily situations
Assist with the creation, implementation, and dissemination of company policies
Assist with the creation of tr! aining programs and conduct training as needed
Assist! in internal investigations in his/her area of expertise and in the preparation of responses to third parties
Perform legal research regarding state-specific requirements.

Work overtime as needed Qualifications
In-depth knowledge of business, commercial and real estate law and related matters
Minimum of 8 years business, commercial and real estate law experience
License to practice law in Virginia or elsewhere within the US
Martindale Hubble BV rated or higher
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to interact effectively with all levels of management
Ability to negotiate with third parties, including attorneys
Ability to apply regulations and policies to daily situations
Ability to effect resolution of real estate issues and disputes
Poise and ability to communicate effectively to groups (i.e., conduct training programs)
Ability to argue the Companyâs position persuasively to third parties, including attorneys, government agencies and auditors
Ability to apply logic in confrontational situations
Ability to focus on multiple tasks simultaneously
Ability to prioritize
Excellent organizational and time management skills required
Ability to work wel! l independently
PC literacy in Microsoft Office software (Word! , Excel, PowerPoint)
