Langley Federal Credit Union is currently hiring for a Title Underwriter that will be responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and making decisions on mortgage and real estate loan products which align with the organization's overall strategy and industry gui delines. The Title Underwriter will also ensure mortgage loans are saleable in the secondary market and assuring that land transfer is expeditious and secure .
Duties and Responsibilities include:
Preparing commitments, policies, monthly underwriter reports and other responsibilities required by the title company underwriter.
Conducts extensive search prior to the sale of the property.
Keep up with industry changes and have an understanding of ALTA best practices.
Order title examinations
Interpret title notes, surveys, plats, easements, deeds, wills etc.
Payment of title insurance and other fees to Title Insurance Company.
Works on varied projects as needed.
Understand and issue endorsements, insured closing letters, etc.as requested by attorneys and lenders.
