Current Position:
- 2 Workers' Compensation Lost Time Adjusters
- Roanoke, VA
- $50,000 to $65,000 Annually - DOE
- Direct Hire
- A new client located in the Roanoke, VA area is looking for (2) Mid to Senior level Workers' Compensation Claims professionals on a direct hire basis. They offer one of the most generous employer sponsored retirement plan in the country. Also pays 100% of healthcare benefits for the employee(Medical, Dental and Vision)
- Must have recent Virginia Claims handling experience to qualify
- Under limited supervision, receives assignments and reviews Workers' Compensation Claim and policy information to provide background for investigation and may determine the extent of the policy's obligation to the insured depending on the line of business
- Contacts, interviews and obtains statements (recorded or in person) from insureds, claimants, witnesses, physicians, attorneys, police officers, etc. to secure necessary claim information
- Evaluates facts supplied by investigation to determine compensability and financial exposure of the account, if any, and extend of the company's obligation to the insured under the policy contract
- Prepares reports on investigation, settlements, denials of claims, individual evaluation of involved parties etc
- Must be able to pass criminal background check to qualify
- Background from Third Party Administration (TPA), Brokerage or Underwriting experience
