College degree or equivalent work experience in a legal environment.
Minimum of three years experience learning/developing/teaching/supporting technology applications.
Excellent oral and strong written communications necessary. Strong organizational skills, including the ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously. Strong service orientation. Working knowledge, or the ability to quickly acquire knowledge, for training and problem solving of firm supported applications such as Microsoft Office Suites, Autonomy Worksite, Trouble Ticket Software, etc.
To perform this job successfully, the candidate must possess the ability or aptitude to proficiently perform each of the responsibilities and accountabilities described above. Examples include: ability to work well under pressure, patience, diplomacy, high stress tolerance, excellent interpersonal communication skills, ability to prioritize workload and adapt to changing conditions. Visual acuity needed for transcription, extensive reading and input (typing) of information into computer. Ability to receive and convey detailed information through oral communication. Essential competency processes include language ability, reasoning and memory.
KEY JOB FUNCTIONS:
Provides training, coaching, and support to individuals and legal teams to ensure effective utilization of technology is achieved. Gains understanding of practice specific processes and needs and deliver skills development and enhancement training.
Performs technology skills assessment and develops and executes team and individual customized training curriculum for assigned practice area personnel.
Designs, develops and maintains reference materials including manuals, Frequently Asked Questions, Quick Reference Guides, and Tips for productivity applications in general and for practice specific technology.
Increases user productivity by providing automation recommendations for simple to moderate applications development.
Becomes subject matter expert in productivity software and assigned practice specific software.
Provides advanced classroom instruction for Help Desk Coordinators and other IT personnel.
Monitors the satisfaction and utilization of technology of their assigned attorneys and staff and provides reports and action plans to Sr Technology Training/Staff Professional Development Manager.
Tests and evaluates new computer products relative to functionality on current computer platform and evaluates impact to user base. Provides feedback, documentation and recommendations based on test results.
Maintains the firm s learning management system by adding instructor-led classes to the monthly calendar, reference materials and eLearning modules. Tracks student enrollment and provides reports to management as needed.
Travel to firm offices to deliver training and support as needed.
Performs special projects as assigned.
