MORTGAGE BANKRUPTCY SPECIALIST

Description: The Mergis Group is currently seeking to employ MORTGAGE BANKRUPTCY SPECIALIST right now, this position will be depute in Virginia. For detail informations about this position opportunity please read the description below. 10-12 month contract position
DESCRIPTION:
Prepare and file proof of claims (POC) upon receipt of customers notification of bankruptcy
Confi! rm remaining balances on loan account, amount delinquent and due dates to ensure company will receive all funds due through bankruptcy trustee
Prepare reaffirmation and sent to attorney
Review documents form debtor, trustee and attorneys
Determine appropriate application of funds according to Federal bankruptcy laws
Post funds
Review bankruptcy plan
Negotiate with attorney for repayment arrangements with debtor
Handle bankruptcy related calls, emails to avoid customer complaints
File signed reaffirmation with courts electronically
Requirements
REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum 1 year experience in mortgage banking, real estate or law that includes exposure to mortgage default and / or bankruptcy
MUST have proof of claim experience
Bachelors Degree or equivalent education/experience
1-2 years foreclosure or default experience
Knowledge of MS Office
Strong customer service skills
Detail oriented
Exce! llent verbal communication
Problem solving skills
Stro! ng organizational skills
