Job Description
We have an outstanding opportunity for you to join an Advanced Analytics practi! ce in a rapidly growing company in Northern VA. This organization's services combine competency and experience in the areas of business intelligence, risk management, and knowledge discovery.
Role and Responsibilities:
aDevelop, maintain, and perform data analysis for Advanced Analytics programs utilizing SAS, Enterprise Guide, Data Step and Oracle SQL programming
aExperience planning and managing analytical projects
aExpertise preparing and delivering analytical presentations
aManage personnel including appraising performance, mentoring and development
aAbility to effectively communicate with internal teams and external clients to deliver analytical solutions and provide leadership through consulting
aVery strong analytical skills coupled with business intelligence and a deep understanding of data mining, working with large data sets and data platforms
Requirements
aBA/BS degree or advanced degre! e in statistics, applied mathematics or related analytical fie! ld of study
a7 plus years professional experience consulting with clients to design and develop statistical models, segmentation schemes and data-driven analysis
aExperience planning and managing analytical projects
aStrong Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills
aStrong capability to build models and utilize statistical methods including data imputation, time series, logistic regression, survival analysis, neural networks and other modeling techniques
aExpertise in statistics, modeling, segmentation, logistic regression, survival analysis, neural networks, and decision trees
aCustomer focus with expertise explaining complex methods, strong verbal and written communication skills, customer orientation and responsiveness
aCreate performance metrics and tracking processes to measure the effectiveness of the predictive modeling efforts
aUtilize data mining techniques and information retrieval methods t! o gather business intelligence
aDevelop and optimize SQL queries to access source data from Oracle, Netezza, data files and other formats to facilitate statistical models and perform SAS programming
aWork in a collaborative manner with team members and customers to gather requirements, analyze data and interact with multiple internal data management groups to support data analysis and develop analytical processes for operations
aStrong time management skills and proven ability to work on time-sensitive deliverables
aPrior Federal consulting experience in statistics and related service area preferred
aSuperior customer interface at senior levels of management and excellent oral and written communication skills are critical
aWillingness to travel and flexibility to commute to clients in the DC metro area as needed
aCandidates should be US Citizens
