Senior Commercial Lender
position at a bank in the Charlottesville, Virginia Area. This position is for an experienced professional wi! th a proven, revenue generating capability. The Senior Commercial Lender is responsible to develop new business, along with maintaining close relationships with their book of business. Specifically the position responsibilities include:

Cold calling and prospecting with non-bank clients to attract new commercial relationships to the bank
·
Cultivating and maintaining relationships with numerous sources of new business, including company officials, attorneys, accountants and social acquaintances
·
Producing new loan production, deposits and fee generation
·
Direct and monitor commercial and retail lending operations for the Bank · Manage the existing loan portfolio
·
Make sales calls with loan officers to continue to develop them and to assist in closing deals
·
Generate new business relationships and manage an existing loan portfolio
·
Ensu! re compliance with applicable bank regulations through periodi! c training of staff and compliance reviews
·
Oversee loan review, credit administration, special assets and credit approval for entire banks’ loan portfolio to include commercial, consumer and residential loans
·
Structure and oversee the credit approval process to ensure the process is completed in a timely manner and in compliance with all policy and procedures
·
Examine files on a periodic basis to ensure compliance with documentation, collateral, etc.
Required Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have the following experience and abilities:
·
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field such as Finance, Business Administration, etc
·
5+ years experience building profitable relationships with small to mid-size businesses, ideally with a strong network of COI in the Charlottesville, Virginia.
·
Must be comfortable developing C&I, owner occu! pied and commercial real estate loans, along with gaining corresponding deposits
·
Must be hard-working, goal-oriented, highly productive, and passionate about business development
·
Ability to successfully manage a portfolio
·
Strong analytical skills and a high level of business acumen,
·
Good written/verbal communication and organizational skills,
·
Formal credit training a plus
