This position includes and is not limited to billing, collecting, and researching
Receivable claims through collection calls, collection packages, ! and correspondence.
Candidate must have the ability to demonstrate initiative to resolve claims with minimal supervision.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Contact insurance plans, physicians, employers, customers, and/or attorneys to resolve outstanding claims and/or obtain billing information.
Call on past due claims and follow up on rejected claims.
Determine if the claim is paid, overpaid, rejected, or not yet billed.
Document all collection contact notes in the receivable system for future reference.
Ensure companies are refunded accurately and timely based on client refund procedures and policies.
Maintain compliance with state and federal billing requirements.
Meet or exceed set production goals
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Process adjustments, data entry, and update information in the billing systems.
Update insurance plan information in applicable systems.
Recom! mend efficiency improvements for all areas of responsibility i! ncluding root cause analysis of significant unresolved receivable issues.
Build relationships with external businesses.
Work on special projects as assigned based on client business needs.

Candidate will work closely with external businesses, department staff, management team, and client as necessary.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
:
The ideal candidate will have the following knowledge, skills, and/or abilities:
Basic/Good Computer Skills
Ability to work with MS Word, Excel, and Access.
Experience with billing systems is desirable.
Basic knowledge of concepts of debits and credits (used to analyze accounts)
Good/Excellent Written and Verbal Communication Skills
Good/Excellent Customer Service Skills
Good Data Entry Skills
Ability to Mu! lti-task
Detail Oriented
Negotiation and analytical skills
High level of professionalism
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
:
A High School degree or equivalent is required. Two years’ work experience in the healthcare collection field is preferred.

:
Objective is to ensure high quality support to internal and external resources.
Staff must represent a diplomatic and professional manner, sensitive to the needs of the customer but understanding the contract Service Level Agreements.
