The Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond seeks a Legal Intern to work in its Legal Department for Summer 2014. The internshipa s purpose is to provide the student an opportunity to learn the workings of a small department of in-house attorneys and the Federal Reserve System. At the same time, the intern will investigate topics at the intersection of law, economics, policymaking, technology, and the future of the U.S. financial system. This full-time position (no benefits) is located in Richmond, Virginia and the duration of employment will be from May 2014 through August 2014.

Job Responsibilities:
Work at the direction of the attorneys in the Richmond Feda s Legal Department.
Investigate topics related to, among other things, banking, commerce, economics, regulatory policy, and corporate governance.
Review legal documents, write cogent summaries, deliver clear presentations, and participate actively in meeting! s with other Federal Reserve staff members.
Give a formal presentation to the Legal Department at the end of the internship period.
