Resource is expected to fulfill a variety of functions including the following:
Advise sales clients regarding legal and business matters arising from service agreemen! ts among Telecommunication Enterprise Solutions, its affiliates and their customers
Review, draft and negotiate numerous complex contracts simultaneously, including service agreements, non-disclosure agreements, statements of work and ancillary legal documents
Ensure that all transactions are sound and comply with the companys policies and all applicable laws, rules, and regulations
Provide legal analysis and counsel for complex enterprise sales bids
Maintain excellent working relationships with clients, affiliate business and legal personnel, internal approval groups and customers, and ensure that the clients legal needs are satisfied.
Qualifications:
Education: J.D.
Licenses: Active and in good standing with state bar
Work Experience: Minimum of 9 years of relevant and recent legal practice experience in a similar work environment (i.e., law firm or corporate legal department) w! ith focus on commercial contracts review, drafting and negotia! tions, and development of proposals, supporting distribution, sales or procurement clients
Familiarity with all phases of sales contracting from pre-contract Requests for Proposals/Bids to contract execution and post-contract legal support.
Excellent skills in team leadership and demonstrated ability to work with multiple internal groups to quickly achieve common goals
Thorough understanding of all laws, rules and regulations applicable to sale of goods and services
Proven ability to effectively counsel clients concerning legal and business risks in sales transactions. Working knowledge of international contracting issues preferable
Ability to rapidly assess potential risks, benefits and consequences of business decisions
Management and organizational skills needed to closely manage multiple transactions and complex deals simultaneously
Independent initiative to develop, lead and implement special projects that ! enhance inter-affiliate and business-to-business processes
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, MS Office, Word).
