Job Summary:

The remote restaurant host is responsible for providing excellent customer service to guests in a virtual restaurant setting. As a WFH host, you will handle customer inquiries, manage reservations, and ensure a smooth dining experience for patrons, all from the comfort of your own home. This role requires exceptional communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Customer Service

Welcome guests and provide a warm and friendly virtual greeting.

Answer customer inquiries promptly and professionally via phone, email, or online chat.

Assist guests with menu selections, dietary restrictions, and special requests.

Address customer concerns or complaints with empathy and strive to resolve them effectively.

Reservation Management:

Receive and manage online reservations, ensuring accuracy and timely response.

Confirm reservation details and communicate any special instructions or requirements.

Maintain an organized schedule of reservations and effectively manage seating availability.

Coordinate with the restaurant team to accommodate large parties or special events.

Virtual Communication:

Use virtual communication tools (e.g., phone, email, video conferencing) to interact with guests, colleagues, and management.

Provide clear and concise information regarding restaurant policies, hours of operation, and services offered.

Collaborate with other WFH team members to ensure consistent and seamless guest experiences.

Follow Standard Operating Procedures:

Adhere to established restaurant protocols and guidelines, ensuring consistency and quality of service.

Familiarize yourself with the restaurant's menu, promotions, and any changes or updates.

Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the restaurant's offerings to assist guests effectively.

Administrative Tasks:

Keep detailed records of reservations, guest preferences, and feedback for future reference.

Generate reports and provide data analysis to identify trends or areas for improvement.

Collaborate with the management team to develop strategies to enhance guest satisfaction and loyalty.

Qualifications and Skills:

High school diploma or equivalent; additional hospitality or customer service training is a plus.

Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in the restaurant industry.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.

Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to handle difficult situations with diplomacy.

Proficiency in virtual communication tools and basic computer applications.

Highly organized with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.

Self-motivated and capable of working independently in a remote work environment.

Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and handle occasional peak hours or busy periods.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.62 - $36.81 per hour
