Senior In-House Legal Counsel

Location: Alexandria, Virginia

Comfortable with taking on new and unique challenges, you will advise and support the Fool’s business operations and initiatives.

Primary Responsibilities/Objectives:

• Review marketing and advertising content
• Draft and review advertising, licensing and other commercial agreements
• Advise on a wide array of matters including marketing and promotions, e-commerce, social media, privacy, data protection, intellectual property

and securities

• Draft terms of service, privacy policies, disclaimers and other disclosures for US and international websites, products and services
• Respond to, and advise on traditional and new media legal questions and issues
• Work with other members of the legal department to develop compliance and other internal policies

Core Competencies:

• Broad and current legal knowledge
• Speci! fic knowledge and demonstrated practical experience in one or ! more of the following areas of law: internet-related law, advertising,

commercial, media, intellectual property, securities regulation and corporate

• Ability to reconcile business needs with regulatory and legal requirements
• Ability to communicate legal concepts to non-lawyers
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a group
• Intellectual flexibility and openness to innovation
• Lifelong learner

Education and Experience:

• JD
• Virginia bar membership or eligible for Virginia bar Corporate Counsel Limited Admission
• 2+ years of experience in a law firm or company
