Altria Client Services’ role is to provide high quality services to the Altria family of companies. We are currently seeking a highly qualified Administrative Ass! istant to join our Law Department in Richmond, VA. The selected candidate will provide administrative support to four of our Assistant General Counsels. Specific accountabilities include:

Providing a wide range of administrative and general support duties including composing, editing and proofing correspondence, contracts, reports and/or presentations

Compiling and communicating information to practice group

Prioritizing and organizing workload and assignments with minimal supervision

Completing complex expense reports and making extensive travel arrangements, sometimes with very little notice.

Providing phone coverage for Assistant General Counsel as well as other lawyers within the department.

Handling sensitive and confidential legal materials and matters.

Maintaining Assistant General Counsels’ calendars. Scheduling and frequently arranging meetings on short notice that includes coordination with other law! yers, executives, analysts, administrative assistants, and out! side counsel.

Reviewing and determining importance of messages from in-house email and external proprietary e-mail systems.

Advising counsel of urgent matters.

Tracking the departmental budget.

Assisting in solving technical problems with computer and communications equipment.

Creating and maintaining filing system while adhering to all records management requirements.

Scheduling group meetings and off-site events Specific Skills Qualifications include:

An Associate’s Degree (or equivalent work experience) plus a minimum of three years of relevant experience

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Advanced computer skills

Ability to interact with all levels within and outside the company

Ability to maintain confidentiality

Ability to prioritize multiple tasks

Ability to work independently and make decisions in management absence

The fo! llowing tests will be required for this position: Administrative Support Skills, Proofreading, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
