Current Need
Provides subject matter expertise for Employee Relations issues within an assigned segment of McKessonâs Business Units. Responsible for investigating and responding to internal and external complaints, agency charges and attorney demands, and handling other complex, high-risk or sensitive employee relations cases. Reports to the Manager, Employee Relations and supports our Medical Surg! ical business.
Position Description
Key R! esponsibilities:
Subject matter expert in one more specialized regulatory areas (e.g. EEOC, ADA) or Employee Relations areas of expertise.
Responsible for investigating and responding to internal and external complaints, agency charges, and attorney demands and handling other complex, high-risk, or sensitive ER cases.
Investigate and prepare strategy and responses to third-party EEOC, OFCCP, and other governmental charges and requests as well as threatened litigation.
Provide consultation, guidance and coaching to supervisors, managers and HRBPs to address employee behavior and performance concerns; provide guidance and assist with the development and delivery of appropriate feedback or corrective/disciplinary actions.
Build relationships with HRBPs and business managers in order to appropriately address high risk ER issues and proactively address ER trends that might be impacting the business.
Maintain required documentation within case manageme! nt system, including intake and investigative notes, supporting documents and final reports.
Responsibilities related to integration activities:
Coordinate policy integration process, including recommendations, final formatting, on-line posting, legal review, policy summary and acknowledgment. This will also include coordination with Talent Acquisition related to new hire on-boarding.
Coordinate ADA leave adjudication process including transition of records to CIGNA and appropriate ERCs, communication and education to managers and employees where appropriate.
Provide policy guidance to PSS HR Generalists prior to ER go live March 1, 2014.
Assist with ER functional training (i.e. polices, standard operating procedures, etc.) for Employee Relations Consultants to support the new organization.
Provide support for escalated ER cases such as EEOC Charges, State Agency Charges, threatened litigation, Ethics Line Issues as appropriate.
! Minimum Requirements
Prefer a minimum of eight years of experience ! in human resources, preferably with significant employee relations responsibility.
Critical Skills
Subject matter expertise in regulatory areas (e.g. EEOC, ADA)
Ability to conduct investigations
Ability to write/draft position papers and responses to requests for information

Educa! tion
Bachelor's degree required, in business or industrial relations, HR, public relations, or related field preferred.
Certifications/Licensure
PHR/SPHR preferred.
