Description: College of William and Mary is at the momment seeking for Puller Clinic Legal Administrator right now, this career will be placed in Virginia. Duties of the Puller Clinic Legal Administrator will be to oversee and be directly responsible for the management of the Puller Clinic's office. Among th! ese responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: managing all client applications for services including identifying legal issues and strengths and weaknesses in potential claims; screening potential applicants for legal needs and assessing the Clinic's ability to provide those legal services; when unable to assist, identifying and facilitating appropriate referrals to other service providers; assisting in the creation and implementation of policies and procedures for organization of data, mailing, filing, phone protocol, etc.; assisting students in law office practices and procedures; assist in hearing preparation for veteran claims; compiling and publishing tri-annual newsletters; compiling and publishing Advisory Board updates; managing the Puller Clinic's social media; seeking grants; research; helping to coordinate and support speaking engagements, outreaches to veterans and their families, continuing legal education programs, conferences, events, client inte! rviews, and referrals to other organizations; creating relatio! nships with local organizations serving veterans; assisting in fundraising; and other office administrative tasks as necessary.

Minimum Qualifications

â?¢ High school graduate or equivalent is required. â?¢ The Puller Clinic Legal Administrator must have knowledge of standard office practices, procedures and clerical techniques; basic office technology; graphic editing; web-page design and maintenance; and picture/video software. â?¢ Skill in managing and prioritizing multiple deadlines and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, to meet short deadlines, and complete projects with attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent organizational, oral and written communication skills. â?¢ Excellent interpersonal skills in developing effective working relationships with external constituencies such as clients in distress, students, attorney instructors, and community service providers and with faculty, staff and students. â?¢ Ability to work! both independently with little direct supervision and in a team environment, handle stressful situations, and respond calmly. â?¢ Ability to develop office protocols (safety procedures and office guidelines).

Preferred Qualifications

â?¢ Paralegal or office management experience is highly preferred. â?¢ Experience with the military and/or veterans is a plus. â?¢ Experience working with the Department of Defense or the Department of Veterans Affairs is preferred. â?¢ Experience working with the mental health profession or a background in psychology, healthcare or social work is a plus.
