The Legal practice provides or manages all legal advice and support to Accenture. We provide objective, focused, practical advice and solutions, based on an und! erstanding of the law and Accenture's business. We work closely with each engagement team to find ways to maximize revenues and manage risk.
The
US Federal Legal Compliance Counsel Manager
will focus on supporting, promoting and implementing initiatives related to compliance, regulatory and ethics areas associated with Accenture Federal Services' business with the U.S. Federal government. This is a hands-on position that will counsel business leadership and work closely with the transactional attorneys supporting the Federal practice.
Key Responsibilities will include:
Improving existing compliance initiatives, practices and policies and
Providing legal advice and contracting support throughout the full life cycle of federal procurement.
Providing strategies for issue resolution related to general compliance matters, such as mandatory disclosure, security breaches, claims, bid protests, GSA Schedule issues, OC! I, Procurement Integrity, anti-corruption and other areas related to US! Federal Ethics, Regulatory and Compliance matters.
Drafting a broad range of documents in support of matters related to compliance regulatory and ethics activities (e.g., correspondence, memoranda, toolkits, internal guidelines, white papers, talking points, AFS practice/policy revisions, etc.).
Interacting directly with government officials on sensitive compliance matters. This is a hands-on position that will counsel business leadership and work closely with the transactional attorneys supporting the Federal practice.
Basic Qualifications
4 years of federal compliance experience in a law firm and/or large corporate legal department
4 years experience applying and interpreting FAR, DFARS, and other applicable law in the context of a large federal business
4 years of experience providing legal advice to business clients
JD and active bar membership

In-depth knowledge of government compliance and procurement issues
Solid understanding and appreciation of intellectual property issues and other contractual issues (e.g., indemnification, limitation of liability, personnel issues, data privacy, export compliance, etc.) as they apply to government transactions
Experience with international deployment issues, e.g. SOFA, Export Control
Working knowledge of competition law
W! orking knowledge of corporate law
Security clearance or abilit! y to obtain
Demonstrated leadership in professional setting; either military or civilian
Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration in a professional setting; either military or civilian
