We have an exciting immediate opportunity for an energetic seasoned Real Estate professional who has the ability, and desire, to build relationships and motivate a variety of real estate industry vendors (brokers, appraisers, property preservation specialists, and title and eviction attorneys) This exciting opportunity as a MMREM's Vendor Manager will work directly with the Director of Vendor Management aiding with the direction and management of vendors throughout our nationwide network of real estate professionals. Matt Martin Real Estate Management, LLC (MMREM) is a leader in real estate asset management, preservation, marketing and disposition. MMREM assists financial institutions, quasi-government agencies, and Federal agencies to mitigate losses from underperforming real estate assets and to maximize revenues from the sale of real property; specializing in the sale of real estate owned by bank assets (REO), loan modifications/workouts and short sell transactions throughout the United States.
The Vendor Manager will help lead and execute procurement and real estate vendor management activities for assigned vendors, categories and projects as required. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record for developing and implementing vendor management strategies for multiple categories of large vendor networks. The ability to lead cross functional teams to execute the strategies and help complete related vendor task management. The candidate will work with the Vendor Management Team to focus on traditional procurement models including analysis, planning, vendor scorecards and vendor management. A strong understanding strategic sourcing models within the real estate industry is necessary. The Vendor manager will be directly accountable for the successful implementation and execution of the procurement strategies and the delivery of desired outcomes for a variety of vendor concentrations. Collaboratively working with the Director of Vendor Management to ensure that organizational initiatives are aligned with Vendor Management Team strategies. The Vendor Manager will act the highest level of escalation in the day to day management of MMREM's Vendor Network.
Duties:
Ability to review and analyze data to determine cost savings opportunities through real estate vendor consolidation and/or contract renegotiations.
Develop and implement procurement strategies for various categories of vendors by following a standard team strategy. Including but not limited to: broker, appraisers, property preservation, title and eviction attorneys.
Contribute to the departments Key Performance Indicators (KPI) all directly contributing to the weekly, monthly, annual team goals
Institute expectations and initiate corrective actions in the event of missed expectations to resolve performance issues.
Build and maintain positive relationships with key real estate vendors
Develop and maintain approved and preferred vendor lists for assigned categories
Assist the Vendor Management Team to develop requirements and strategies to identify vendors and establish KPI requirements to measure vendor performance agreements.
Ability to meet deadlines while dealing with changing priorities
Ability to self-manage time to keep pace with workload highs and lows
Required Skills
Position Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree
Review, monitor and understand reporting on vendor categories, while utilizing this data to drive strategic projects to achieve team objectives
Build and maintain effective working relationship with various vendor categories
Experience managing multiple real estate vendors
5+ years’ experience in Real Esate, primarily Asset and/or Vendor Management
Experience providing contract and negotiation related support to business units
