Specific Details: This position is for an affidavit specialist. The candidate would be responsible for preparing ! a variety of affidavits for foreclosure. Department is responsible for: Reviewing loans for foreclosure; handling foreclosure letters - pulling, printing, folding letters and some research; referring loans to attorneys - research, activate loan, and upload into LPS desktop, scanning. Mortgage experience is a plus. Default background (foreclosure, loss mitigation, bankruptcy, etc) preferred. Organized, detail oriented. Flow with change. Hours: 8-5, Mon to Fri
Summary: Responsible for the completion of routine foreclosures, compliance with all state laws and investors, insurers, Agency and company time frames.
Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education/experience. Entry level: 0 - 2 years previous foreclosure and/or default related experience.
Skills and Competencies: Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of MS Office. Ability to handle multiple tasks.
Maj! or Job Duties and Responsibilities: Initiates and monitors! the foreclosure of loans secured by real estate through designated law firms. Makes presentations and recommends appropriate action to senior management related to foreclosure properties. Receives recommendations for foreclosure from collections and reviews to confirm equity position, risk of loss and opportunity for Loss Mitigation work outs and/or foreclosure. Coordinates all foreclosure activities with attorneys and/or vendors and updates Bank’s systems timely and accurately. Orders/recommends appraisals or inspections of properties, evaluates equity position and recommends bidding instructions for sheriff/foreclosure sales. Ensures account balances are written down in accordance with bank policy.
