The Associate position provides a unique experience due to the broad and significant role an Associate plays in a typical 3-4 person deal team. In addition to the evaluation! and execution of new deals, Associates also gain unique operating experience in a wide set of industries. Each associate is typically assigned two portfolio companies and by working closely with the management teams and attending the companies quarterly Board of Director meetings, Associates get exposed to a variety of strategic and operational issues. In addition, Associates work closely with management teams to evaluate potential add-on investments, assess opportunities in new and existing markets, and further improve the company s core operations.
Job Responsibilities:
Structuring and performing company and industry due diligence; Working closely with a target company s management to understand business trends; Financial modeling and analysis of a variety of capital structures; Managing external due diligence advisors such as accountants, tax experts and lawyers; Presenting and participating in investment committee meetings; Managing and executing th! e financing and closing processes
Job Qualificatio! ns:
Candidates must have completed at least two years at an investment bank by their contemplated start date and have had exposure to a significant number of mergers and acquisitions and/or leveraged finance transactions. Candidates should also have a strong academic background, sound communication (verbally and in writing), strong analytical skills, extensive LBO/financial-modeling experience, and the ability to work well in a team environment as well as independently.
Required experience: 2 - 5 years
